FriktionTek® Ceramic Manual Transmission, Gear and Differential Treatment Works. Guaranteed.

FriktionTek® Ceramic Manual Transmission, Front and Rear-Differential and Gear Treatment is the best way to optimize the performance of your gear box, differentials and manual transmission without disassembly.

FriktionTek® simultaneously cleans, restores and protects worn parts creating a smoother, more durable surface. It effectively optimizes performance while reducing friction and wear.

While the science is advanced, the application is simple. FriktionTek® works by applying a long-lasting ceramic-metal (cermet) surface to engines while you drive. It penetrates metal surfaces up to 30 microns deep and forms a strong new ceramic-metal bond.

By reducing friction and heat, the technology provides similar benefits to traditional lubricants but works in a completely different way. FriktionTek® does not modify the oil in any way. Instead, it modifies the surface structure of the metal to make it act more like a ceramic. Ceramic-metal alloys (known for their strength, durability, smoothness, high heat resistance and regenerative properties) have been used for decades in racing, industry, aviation and nuclear propulsion. With FriktionTek®, a ceramic-metal coating can now be applied without disassembly. By eliminating parts, labor and downtime , FriktionTek® provides a huge cost savings with the same benefit.

Advantages

Resurfaces manual transmission gears and shaft, differentials, gear boxes, reducers and other components of your drive train

Treatment results:

Reduces or eliminates grinding;

Decreases noise and vibration;

Restores damaged synchronizers;

Increases accuracy of the gear-shift;

Restores high-friction metal surfaces of transmissions, differentials, gears and transfer case;

Optimizes frictional conformability of gears;

Improves accuracy of operation immediately and the process is complete in 1,250 miles;

Prolongs transmission, differential and gear life;

Helps reduce fuel consumption (especially in all-wheel drives);

Lasts up to 65,000 miles.

Technical Specs

FriktionTek® is an eco-friendly product. It is non-toxic and non-flammable. FriktionTek® Ceramic Engine oil additive consists of a natural ceramic compound suspended in a synthetic gel. It contains no PTFEs, metals, detergents, or waxes. Unlike some other ceramic treatments, FriktionTek® does not contain harmful additives like chlorines and carbons.

Due to the particle size, FriktionTek® cannot clog oil filters or hoses. It only works on metal surfaces and has no effect on fibrous material like clutch plates, seals or gaskets. FriktionTek® is compatible with all types of gear oil and additives. For greased gears (i.e. CV joints), we recommend our ceramic grease.

NOTE: FriktionTek works better on boundry friction than hydrodynamic friction zones. Since there is much less friction present, bearings may take much longer to see any effects of treatment. Oil may be changed after 1,250 miles even though bearing surfaces are still undergoing the hardening process.

Instructions

Warm your car up to its normal running temperature.

Add treatment into the gear oil opening of your manual transmission, gear box, transfer case or differential (see your car's instruction manual for where to add gear oil).

Drive for at least 15 minutes.

Transmission or differential should show a reduction in noise / grinding almost immediately (within 5-10 miles). For very high mileage vehicles or those with severe problems, a second dose may be necessary.

Dose

1-5 quart system: one 18 ML cartridge

5-10 quart system: two 18 ML cartridges
