Extends Part Life: FriktionTek® produces a surface much harder and smoother than steel. It penetrates metal to a depth of 10 to 30 microns, becoming part of the surface it protects. FriktionTek's coating is extremely resistant to corrosion and reduces heat. As FriktionTek® works, it "customizes" the tolerances in each unique assembly, resulting in smoother operation. All of this acts to prolong engine, transmission and differential life by a factor of two to three times.

The resulting coating actually resurfaces the internal metal parts of your engine, transmission, differential or power steering unit. In gearboxes it has been shown to reach a thickness of 63 thousandths of an inch. In piston/cylinder groups, it has reached nearly 8 thousandths.

The coating grows until it has done its job, then it stops. FriktionTek® is inert with respect to fuels and lubricants. It does not interact with them or change their properties in any way.
